‘Devour’: the Official Theme of NOC

Shinedown’s ‘Devour’ is the official theme song for the Night of Champions this year. The Shinedown’s lead singer, Brent Smith, is the voice behind ‘Devour’. Brent is a big fan of WWE and recalls that he grew up watching wrestling. Though he loved all superstars his favorite is the Ultimate Warrior, and not to forget the Undertaker.

Brent told that he can never forget the bodyslam given by Hogan to Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III. He thanks his father for letting him watch his first match with him, and that was a match he’ll always remember. He’s very glad that his song ‘Devour’ has been selected as the official theme of Night of Champions. According to him, for a song to be selected by WWE it should be intense and aggressive.

Shinedown’s new album The Sound of Madness is the most aggressive and the biggest record they have ever done. Brent told that he want people to remember that this was the album that needed to be made; after he’s dead and gone and he thinks it is the one. If WWE signs him for a $1 million wrestling contract, then he says his name would be The Reverend because the people calls him that when he’s performing. And of course his finisher had to be the Piledriver.

The Sound Of Madness is Shinedown’s third album, and some of the tracks are “Sin with a Grin”, “Devour”, “The Crow & The Butterfly”, “What A Shame”, and “Call Me”. The album is really like by the people out there.
