Jerry Lawler Gets Featured on Comics’ Cover
WWE stars have been gaining rapid popularity and this is evident from various gifts and awards they receive. Recently, Jerry “The King” Lawler has got a chance to be featured on the cover of comics. The WWE Hall of Famer, who has hit the canvas several times in his tenure as a commentator, got the first opportunity to hit the comic books industry.
The comics are debuting earlier this month and are printed with the hand-painted glimpse of Lawler, for the premiere issue of Visionary Comics’ titled series, Headlocked. This Monday night Raw commentator has been showing off his creations several times on the show ranging from cartoon presentations to skilled portraiture.
Jerry Lawler is excited to his new opportunity and says that his creations mostly involve artwork on comic book heroes and super heroes and that’s what Headlocked is all about. There is also a story related on Lawler devised by writer/creator Mike Kingston, no relation with Lawler’s colleague and Raw superstar, Kofi Kingston.
According to Lawler, it’s like he is experiencing his first wrestling match all over again that he fought some 30 years ago as this is the first time he has done such a cover for a comic book.
