Melina has spent quite sometime out of action due to an injury but the champ will be making her comeback on the WWE with only one thing in mind, the WWE Women’s title. The two time Women’s Champion Melina has earned herself an opportunity to fight against the Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix and earn the most coveted gold.

Melina’s desperation to win the title can be seen from the fact that only after a month of making her comeback, she has earned herself the No. 1 contender for Beth Phoenix’s title by defeating the former Women’s Champion, Mickie James in a Diva Battle Royal on Raw. Melina would be hoping to continue her winning momentum to beat the Glamazon at Royal Rumble.

Melina had earlier injured herself when she fell from turnbuckles awkwardly thereby injuring her ankle that kept her out for about half the year. Beth is also taking the competition fiercely and will be gearing up to defeat Melina.
